The color of grief is often seen as a void of color. But the truth is, color just becomes dull. There is a haze that overcomes our whole field of vision, like it is devoid of shine and brightness. This dullness has no end.

Color will always be present; however, the griever’s perspective is where the alteration happens as if also withering away. I try to interpret my own grief after both my siblings passed away within months of each other from different causes. All of the sudden I found myself without two of my favorite people in the world and I felt so devoid of everything but the color, the color just felt wrong and gone.
